DAY ONE
Arrival in Nice. Pick-up at the airport and drive to l’Escalière (40 minutes)
Lunch served on the terrace.
Visit of the 9th century village of Gourdon.
Visit of the Moulin d’Opio, a working mill and its olive oil.
DAY TWO
Valbonne, a picturesque village.
Relaxing walk in the Esterel massif, a coastal mountain range famous for
its red cliffs and views of the Mediterranean. (4 hrs)
DAY THREE
Walk from Coursegoules (a village of 300 inhabitants) on the plateau of
Vence, with stunning views ranging from the snowy peaks of the Alps to
the Mediterranean. (5 hrs)
DAY FOUR
Mercantour National Park. (6 hrs)
Petroglyphs on schist dating back to the Bronze Age.
Overnight in St Martin de Vesubie. (Elevation 300 ft)
DAY FIVE
Hiking the Vallée des Merveilles. (7 hrs)
Wildlife (marmots, chamois, ...), mountain lakes.
DAY SIX
Cooking class at L’Escalière. Salmon en croute,
pissaladière, tapenade, … on the menu.
Afternoon shopping spree in Cannes.
DAY SEVEN
Walk around St Jean Cap Ferrat / Antibes.
Farewell dinner at L’Escalière.
DAY EIGHT
Departure. Flights leave around 11 a.m.
